Noah turned 3 on Saturday!
Noah's school celebrated his birthday on Friday by inviting mom to come read a few of Noah's current favorite books ("Little Quack", and "The Best Day Ever, Dad") to the class, and sharing some of Noah's favorite treats (Dum Dum Suckers, or "Lollies"), while Noah wore his special glitter birthday crown that Miss Annie Made for him!

*Dad and Asha were present at school, but did not make it in any of the pictures because of camera duties. However, below is a picture of Dad and Asha immediately preceding the 'emergency outfit change' that occurred just before leaving for Noah's school celebration...

While Noah has not been the subject of as many pictures as his little sister as of late (by his own choice), he is still very much the center of things.
One recent highlight that was captured on camera was Noah meeting Santa Clause for the first time. It went quite well. He asked for "more library books." Check.

You may note a certain yellow bear attached to Noah...Pooh Bear is a constant companion, comfort, and source of germs

We are at the point where it has been so long since we've posted, I am asking myself, "do I try to catch up, risking never actually getting to it, or do we just jump in at the current time and hope for the best?"

Here is a brief update, and explanation of why this blog has been so silent...

Uncle Katie and Uncle Reed!

Reed had another delightful visit with our favorite red heads, Uncle Reed and Aunt Katie!
Noah, sensing that Reed and Katie are nearly one in the same, thought the title "Uncle" would work just as good as "Aunt" for Katie, so that is what he often referred to her as. :)
(We'll get that straightened out by Thankgiving, don't you worry....)

Nandi Visit

Noah got to meet his newest cousin Layla when Auntie Lisa, Uncle Derrik, Ajji, Ajja, and Jyoti all came for a visi in May.* Noah fell in love with Layla immediately and now holds all babies to the standard of "Baby Layla".
*This post is delayed because Mommy didn't manage to take any decent pictures, and forgot that Lisa had sent these great shots...I hope it is ok that I posted these...

Noah decided to get out of the house while daddy watched the first round of March Madness college basketball. A major highlight of the trip was seeing Uncle Reed and Aunt Katie (shown below at the "Provo Beach Resort"). He also loved seeing cousin Kaia (who he talks about daily), cousin Andrew, and Aunt Miel, though we didn't seem to get any good pics with them. He also loved seeing grandma's dog Claire, but Claire didn't stick around Noah long enough to have her picture taken.

Noah had a great 2nd Birthday party at Gymboree with a few of his very best buddies.

Last visit to the Acquarium

For Noah's 1st Birthday we got a pass to the Denver Acquarium.
Since the pass expired last week we said goodbye to the fishies and sharks and tigers (yes, we have tigers). And at the very end, each of the stingrays came by to get a love, one by one.

Christmas with cousins!

Noah got to spend Christmas with his cousins Henry, Lily, Olivia, James, Ella, and Julia. There were many adorable (and not so adorable*) moments, but mom only captured this sweet scene with Henry sharing his smoothie with Noah.

Noah celebrated Halloween twice this year, with as many outfit changes.

Noah made his second annual appearance at the church "trunk or treat' as a cowboy

Noah got to visit Aunt Jill, Uncle Dustin, Lily, Olivia, and Henry, along with Aunt Miel and Grandpa over the 4th of July! Here are a few highlights...

Swimming Lessons!

Noah took an intense 2 week 'mom and me' swimmming class. When dad learned that the class actuallly had more dads than moms, he wanted in. So dad snuck away from work to come splash with Noah a couple of times. Yay! (Mom wishes that meant she did not also have to get in the pool, but she was not that lucky...thank goodness dad isn't into taking pictures....)

This is Noah desperately trying to get my attention. When his sippy cup didn't prove sufficient temptation to get me off the phone, he grabbed the strainer in a vain, but darling attempt to lure me away. see mom....you LOVE this thing!

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em...

This fuzzy picture is Noah 'talking on the strainer'. Noah loves to mimic talking on the phone with various household objects. Normally the object is a small book or toy, but this is the best one yet. He wandered around holding that thing to his ear, babbling for a good 5 minutes.

January 21, 2010: Noah had a great birthday!

Mom took a break from studying and dad got off work early and we all went to the Denver Acquarium to see the fishies and ended the day with a delicious chocolate, gluten free, sugar free cupcake (mmmm)(better than it sounds)

(Since Noah wasn't due until Febrary 21, I figured I had an extra month to do the birthday post...)

This is Noah's very favorite diaper-changing activity.

Dad said I couldn't post a shot of Noah's beautiful naked bum, but normally he his doing this activity sans diaper and I am looking at baby cellulite, trying to decide if I should let him explore his letters while I try not to laugh.

When grandma P lovingly hung the letters of Noah's name above his changing table none of us imagined that our sweet little potato would ever wiggle while having his diaper changed, and certainly never stand to reach the letters...
